Dissolve & Correct
Get a fresh start with expert correction
Although dermal fillers results are not permanent, most last for six months or more and you don’t want to wait if you are unhappy with the results. If you have had unsatisfactory results with fillers or they look different than you expected, dissolving your filler may be needed.
What is Dissolve & Correct?
Hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm or Restylane can be dissolved using a synthetic form hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down the hyaluronic acid molecules, speeding up the process that would naturally occur 6-18 months after your treatment. Hyaluronic acid fillers in the lips, cheeks, and under the eyes can be dissolved and corrected. Collagen-stimulating injectables, such as sculptra, and neuromodulators cannot be dissolved.
Who is a Candidate for Dissolve & Correct?
Anyone who does not like the look of their fillers can benefit from the Dissolve & Correct treatment. Some of the most common concerns addressed with our Dissolve & Correct treatment include:
Bumps after a previous filler injection
Over-volumized lips or cheeks
Filler that has migrated to another area
At your consultation, our nurse injector will ask about your concerns to create a customized treatment plan. We can discuss options to dissolve the area and correct your treatment with expert injectable services at our office.
The Dissolve & Correct Procedure
Our filler-dissolving treatment is quick and virtually painless. Hyaluronidase injections will be carefully placed into a few points in the designated areas to evenly smooth the skin and dissolve all the unwanted filler. This treatment is minimally painful for most patients.
Dissolve & Correct Results
There is virtually no recovery after Dissolve & Correct treatment. Mild swelling and bruising are possible but will not last more than a few days. During your short recovery time, avoid sun exposure and strenuous activity to minimize swelling. Noticeable improvements in lumps or asymmetry will start to be seen after a few days but it can take a few weeks. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be permanently dissolved, but it may take a few treatments depending on how much filler is present and how much you want to be dissolved.
