• What is Sculptra?

  Scultpra is unique because it helps to address the underlying cause of aging: Lost collagen.

  After the age of 30, we begin losing collagen in our skin. This results in sagging, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity. Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator that helps steadily restore your skin’s structure and volume to minimize wrinkles and folds by energizing collagen production.

• What’s treatment like?

  Treatment typically lasts for 30-60 minutes, depending on the severity of your collagen loss. Sculptra requires 1-4 sessions (typically three) which involve a series of meticulously placed injections.

• Is there downtime?

  There may be some redness, swelling, tenderness, itching, or potential bruising surrounding the treated area. These potential side effects typically resolve in a few days.

  Most patients are able to continue activities as normal right away. We recommend a cold pack to help with any swelling, light facial massage, and avoiding direct sunlight after your treatment.

• How long do results last?

  You may begin to see progressive, visible results within the first few months . After a full treatment regimen, you’ll see long-lasting results for up to 2 years.

• Which areas can be treated?

  Sculptra can treat moderate to deep wrinkles and folds and is typically applied to the temples, cheeks, smile lines (nasolabial folds), marionette lines (framing the mouth), and jaws.
