What is Daxxify?
Daxxify is the newest FDA-approved botulinum toxin injectable made with a peptide formula for long-lasting results. Like other neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin), Daxxify is made with botulinum toxin type A, a powerful substance that temporarily relaxes facial muscles to prevent and smooth fine lines and wrinkles caused by repeated facial expressions. However, Daxxify is unique because its formula is made with peptides and no human or animal byproducts. Peptides stabilize botulinum toxin particles and strengthen the product for long-lasting results.
Who is a Candidate for Daxxify?
Daxxify can be used for the following concerns at our office:
Moderate to severe frown lines
Crow's feet
Horizontal forehead lines
Ideal Daxxify candidates are those who have received other types of wrinkle relaxers and want their results to last longer. Patients should also be in overall good health without an active skin infection in the treatment area.
The Daxxify Procedure
All injectable procedures are performed in our comfortable office space by a certified nurse injector or nurse practitioner who has the skills and expertise needed for safe treatment and exceptional results. Daxxify injections take less than 30 minutes and most patients find it to be relatively painless.
Daxxify Results
There is minimal downtime and recovery after Daxxify treatment. Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are the most common side effects, but they will subside within a few days. For 1-2 days, we recommend avoiding strenuous activity and direct heat (sun exposure, saunas, etc.). Results will be fully developed in about two weeks and typically last twice as long as other wrinkle relaxers.
